A new version of the Informix/Perl Database Driver has been released. The DBD::Informix Driver implements the Perl DBI (DataBase Interface). The Perl DBI allows Perl programmers to write database independent code that works with various databases that provide a DBD-Module.

Am 26.05.2011 fand in Wiesbaden der 57. Workshop der deutschen Informix User Group (IUG) statt. Planung und Ablauf des Workshops waren wie immer vorbildlich. Vielen Dank an Herrn Alvarez von der IUG Verwaltung und den Mitarbeitern der ORDIX AG hierfür !

Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön möchte ich im Namen der Informix-Gemeinde an meinen Vorstandskollegen Wolfgang Kögler und sein Team richten. Wolfgang ist Vorstandsvorsitzender der ORDIX AG, die uns freundlicherweise Räumlichkeiten für unseren Workshop zur Verfügung gestellt hat. Neben der Lokation wurden auch das Catering sowie der am Vorabend stattgefundene Stammtisch grosszügigerweise von der ORDIX AG übernommen.
