Bank of China in the UK Works With IBM to Become a Smarter, Greener Bank

New press release covering the IBM Smarter Planet story in conjunction with Informix:

Beside the Smarter Planet crap it would be interesting to know how the Bank of China in the UK exactly benefits from the Informix technology. What makes Informix special here and why does it stand out against the competition ? Which Informix features is the Bank of China using to their advantage ? Unfortunately the press release says nothing about the really interesting things (:-

Claus,

thank you the the URL.

The IBM business partner case study provides indeed more information on this. It seems to me that the IBM person that wrote the press release didn't read the case study before. In fact the press release is meaningless from an Informix perspective. Just saying at the end "the solution is powered by IBM Informix software" is cursory. At least the use of Informix HDR to provide the necessary high availability for this critical solution as well as the cost effective combination of Linux and Informix could have been mentioned in the press release (:-
