IIUG Conference 2009 - Don't miss it !

Have you already registered for the greatest Informix ONLY event in 2009 ? The IIUG 2009 Conference

This is by far the best place to meet many many internal and external Informix experts, Informix developers and Informix support people. The IIUG Conference is an excellent place for exchanging know-how and experience around the IBM Informix products as well as establishing social contacts. Hear from customers around the world how they use IDS to power their businesses and achieve a competetive advantage.

The Early-Bird price is only 549,-- USD for three full days of technical sessions including< breakfast and lunch. This is unbeatable ! The Early-Bird-Rate is limited to registrations made until January the 15th. I've already heard from a trusted source that there are already many many registrations and seats are limited. So please: Hurry up and reserve your seat !

Last year by far the greatest part of the conference attendees were based in the USA. This isn't probably a surprise. But I would like to encourage more people from Europe to attend this Top-Informix-Conference and feel the renewed energy and around IBM's flagship OLTP data server. BTW, this is also an excellent opportunity to talk to the IDS architects as well as IBM senior management and tell them what you like to see from IBM in terms of product functionality and marketing/advertising of the product. We all know the former is already excellent but the latter could still be improved dramatically and we shouldn't stop demanding that from IBM.

Please read my report from the last year's IIUG conference to get an impression of what you might expect:

I would be happy to meet you at IIUG 2009 and drink a beer at the bar in the evening and share our thoughts about the future of Informix. See you in Kansas - Thank you !

Let me take this opportunity to point especially the Europeans to the upcoming Informix Tech Day in Strasbourg (France). This Tech Day is organized by my friend Jean-Georges Perrin. You will find more information about the event here:

I hope that I'll be able to participate in Strasbourg.
