Hello and happy weekend.

As some of you know, I resumed an Informix developer’s life about 6 months ago. Prior to this, I was an Informix DBA for over 10 years and prior to that I was an Informix developer (the circle of life?). It took a few months for my Informix 4GL skills to get dusted off, but I am doing well now. Fortunately I have 2 skilled co-workers to help my memory, and my years of Unix scripting have been helpful in creating well-rounded Informix 4GL solutions.

Eric has bravely invited me to blog on his site. He may live to regret this! ;-)

I am a first-time blogger, please forgive any etiquette mistakes - chalk it up to my personality, or lack thereof.

The short-term plan is to share information from the IIUG conference regarding IBM marketing, Academic Initiative, and other goodies I learned at conference like I-4GL web services (yeah!).

This concludes my first ever blog entry, short and sweet, but longer than a tweet.
