Informix on Campus Blog
Today I'm happy to introduce the new Informix on Campus Blog. You might have already read about the progress that IBM is making regarding the Informix Academic Initiative in the current IIUG Insider Newsletter and in the new Informix Voices Blog.
The Informix Zone has demanded this and the votes of the Informix community addressed at IBM have been unambiguous. Finally it is good to see that IBM takes the ideas and concerns of the Informix community seriously. This ones again demonstrates that we as a community are able to change things inside IBM. There are still other important weak points that have been unfolded by the community. Now it is up to IBM to address them as well in order to continue the rise of Informix.
A big thank-you to Norma Jean Sebastian and Andrew Ford from the IIUG board of directors who put a lot of energy and ideas into the Informix academic initiative and together with the folks of IBM have made this possible ! Thank you. I'm glad that Norma Jean opened her own blog on The Informix Zone and look forward to her postings on this and other subjects.
Here is the URL of the new blog:
For your convenience I've added the Informix on Campus blog newsfeed to the right side of The Informix Zone.

Informix on Campus
Thanks for your post here and to everyone who is contributing - from IIUG inviting professors to the conference to the great materials now available. Norma Jean, Andrew, the IBM labs team and many others made a glimmer of an idea a reality!
