The blog has been created by Eric Vercelletto - what a nice first name :-). The content will be in written in French. Eric is a long time Informix enthusiast and works with Informix technology since 1986. He worked in several positions for Informix Software Inc. in the past, made a side trip to Siebel technology and is now back in the Informix space.

Javi Gray from Paraguay has just started a new Informix blog in Spanish:

today I'm doleful to announce that http://planetids.com will be offline for an undertimend period of time. It is no offense against the technical side of IBM Informix or the Informix community, it is just a silent protest against the business and marketing side of IBM that still treats Informix as Cinderella (:-

My friends from oninit have created a new website focusing on the free Informix editions:

The website contains a helpful Informix Application Development tutorial that describes the Informix database architecture and how to configure application development tools to access the Informix database.

The planetIDS website has been slightly redesigned.

During that process I've integrated the new Informix blogs from Kevin Brown, Jonathan Leffler and Frederick Ho. You'll now find their blog posts directly on planetIDS and additionally on the right side of The Informix Zone.
