Python InformixDB version 2.5 released

I am pleased to announce a new release of InformixDB, the Python module for developing Informix applications in Python. Changes since the last release include:

  • Compatibility with CSDK 3.00
  • Ability to manually interrupt or automatically time out SQL execution
  • Proper binding of boolean parameters in WHERE clauses
  • Make version information about server and client available
  • Various bug fixes

The IBM Informix CSDK 3.00 (for .NET provider) Beta Program will run until 02/28/2007

The IBM Informix Client Software Development Kit (Client SDK) offers a single packaging of several application programming interfaces (APIs) that are optimized for developing applications for Informix servers. IBM Informix CSDK 3.00 (for .NET provider ) contains new features in the following areas:

  • IDS .NET Data Provider support for the .NET Framework 2.0
  • IBM Database Add-Ins for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

The .NET Data Provider extends Informix server support for the ADO.NET interface. The .NET Data Provider delivers high-performing, secure access to Informix data. To develop and run applications that use .NET Data Provider you need the .NET Framework, Version 2.0 or 1.1.
