IBM has a Redbook out called Database Performance Tuning on AIX, which is pretty database agnostic and covers all sorts of different databases, although oddly enough, not SQLServer. :-)

From one article to another of documentation we look: PAM supported on all 32bit platform, on 64bit platform PAM does not supported on AIX and HP-UX :(

Good news for admins and users who working with IDS on AIX: IDS 10.00.FC5W3 (64bit IDS for AIX) does support PAM (with CSDK 9.40TC6)
